Director / Prosthetist

BSc (Hons) P&O, MAOPA.

Ross graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2009 with a Bsc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Ross started his career working with the NHS in Southwest England before moving to Australia in 2011. Ross has worked in a variety of prosthetic facilities from metropolitan centres of Brisbane and Melbourne to rural clinics in Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Maryborough before setting up Custom Prosthetics here on the Gold Coast.

Ross’ passion for helping people shows through in everything we do here at the clinic. He loves working with people, specifically working together to trial and design prostheses that are customised to individual’s needs. He is versed in all levels of prosthetic treatment with additional training in microprocessor-controlled devices and sporting prostheses including skiing, athletics, surfing and paracanoe. Ross has a special ability to build long term relationships with our clients and he loves seeing how the devices they have designed together let them live the lives they want.

Eliza
Eliza

Prosthetist / Orthotist

Eliza graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne with a Bachelor in Applied Sciences and Master in Prosthetics and Orthotics. After gaining experience working in both public and private clinics in Melbourne and Brisbane, Eliza joined our team in 2021.
Eliza has a passion for art, creating things and design, while also being very interested in physiology and anatomy. A hands-on career where she could be involved in the fabrication process really interested her. Eliza is driven to help enable people live the life they want and to encourage people to achieve their functional and psychosocial goals. The aspects she likes the most about working in Prosthetics and Orthotics is that she can get to know people, work together with clients, problem solve and make something from start to finish. She loves the balance between client interaction, hands on plaster and manufacturing work, along with report writing and research.
Matisse
Matisse

Prosthetist / Orthotist

Matisse joined the team at the start of 2024 after graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Health Science and Extended Major in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Matisse aspired to pursue a career in the health care profession after having volunteered in the Texas Children’s Hospital over in the United States as a Medical Assistant. Matisse’s excitement for Prosthetics and Orthotics sparked following a strong interest in allied health and a love for working with adults and children. After having always been involved in sports, Matisse is passionate about helping others excel in their mobility and assisting them to reach their functional goals.
She enjoys working with clients who require Prosthetic and Orthotic devices, with a particular interest in both upper and lower limb prosthetic management, and acute orthopaedic device management. She is eager to build long-term relationships with her clients and further develop her clinical and technical skill set to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Laura

Reception / Admin

Laura has an extensive and diverse background with experience in many different insurance company roles as a Relationship Executive and Financial Crime Analyst. More recently, Laura worked in Allied Health administration for a Speech Pathology clinic, where she found her growing passion for work in the Allied Health sector. Laura was enthused by the opportunity to further expand her Allied Health knowledge and joined Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2024.
You will be sure to find Laura at the front desk to warmly welcome you to our clinic, either in person or on the phone. Laura is very approachable and extremely thorough when taking message, booking appointments and all the other behind-the-scenes admirative tasks. Laura will make sure you feel at ease and is happy to answer any questions you may have about your appointment or our services.
Sarah
Sarah

Technician

Sarah has an extensive background in perioperative orthopaedic nursing, specifically orthopaedic trauma and spine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2010 from RMIT university and completed further study at Deakin University in 2013 gaining a postgraduate diploma of perioperative nursing. After working as a nurse for over 13 years Sarah wanted to upskill and try something new. Moving interstate from Melbourne she joined us here in 2021.
Sarah works behind the scenes here at Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics in our workshop fabricating all our custom-made devices. She enjoys utilising different tools and materials to fabricate prosthetic sockets and AFOs. Sarah enjoys thinking outside the box, has a great level of attention to detail, and goes above and beyond to create devices that showcase each client’s unique personality.
Charlotte
Charlotte

Receptionist / Admin

Charlotte is our head of admin and one of the friendly faces behind the reception desk here at Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Charlotte graduated in 2009 with a B.Sc (Hons) Psychology from the University of Exeter in the UK and has had a varied career across several different organisations, including Workforce Planning for the Commonwealth Games, and working as a Merchandiser and analyst for several leading retailers in the UK and Australia. With over 14 years office, administration, and management experience she is excited to be able to apply herself in a more client facing role here at Custom Prosthetics and Orthotics and work in an industry which helps improve people’s lives.
Charlotte will be here to welcome you to your appointment and give you all the information you need prior to seeing one of our clinicians. Charlotte’s focus is your care and experience with us while keeping our behind-the-scenes business running smoothly. She is passionate about helping you and ensuring you have an enjoyable and beneficial visit to our clinic.

Nicole graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Nicole was inspired to pursue a career where she could work with people, as well as getting her hands dirty making braces and artificial limbs. After practicing for several years in both public and private facilities across Australia and the UK, she initially set up our practice here on the beautiful Gold Coast.

Nicole is passionate about finding and fitting the best devices for clients that meets each individual’s needs; helping them live their fullest and most active lives. She is experienced in all areas of Orthotics from public to private settings, acute to long-term, paediatrics to geriatrics.

Nicole enjoys all areas of Orthotics with a particular interest in acute injuries, OA and Ligament Knee Bracing and AFOs. As our practice is expanding Nicole is taking on more of a training and management role, whilst still seeing some orthotic clients.

Ross has worked in a variety of prosthetic facilities from metropolitan centres of Brisbane and Melbourne to rural clinics in Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Maryborough before setting up Custom Prosthetics here on the Gold Coast.

Ross’ passion for helping people shows through in everything we do here at the clinic. He loves working with people, specifically working together to trial and design prostheses that are customised to individual’s needs. He is versed in all levels of prosthetic treatment with additional training in microprocessor-controlled devices and sporting prostheses including skiing, athletics, surfing and paracanoe. Ross has a special ability to build long term relationships with our clients and he loves seeing how the devices they have designed together let them live the lives they want.

Director / Orthotist

Nicole graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Nicole was inspired to pursue a career where she could work with people, as well as getting her hands dirty making braces and artificial limbs. After practicing for several years in both public and private facilities across Australia and the UK, she initially set up our practice here on the beautiful Gold Coast.

Nicole is passionate about finding and fitting the best devices for clients that meets each individual’s needs; helping them live their fullest and most active lives. She is experienced in all areas of Orthotics from public to private settings, acute to long-term, paediatrics to geriatrics.

Nicole enjoys all areas of Orthotics with a particular interest in acute injuries, OA and Ligament Knee Bracing and AFOs. As our practice is expanding Nicole is taking on more of a training and management role, whilst still seeing some orthotic clients.

Ross graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2009 with a Bsc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Ross started his career working with the NHS in Southwest England before moving to Australia in 2011. Ross has worked in a variety of prosthetic facilities from metropolitan centres of Brisbane and Melbourne to rural clinics in Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Maryborough before setting up Custom Prosthetics here on the Gold Coast.
